Supporting individuals and families facing mental health or substance misuse challenges through peer-driven education, advocacy, and awareness since 2005.
Meaningful Minds United, Inc. pioneered peer-driven mental health support in Louisiana, founded in 2005 by individuals with lived experience. Our team understands the unique challenges faced by those encountering mental health or substance misuse issues—because we have walked that path ourselves.
We are deeply committed to empowering, educating, and advocating for individuals, their families, and broader communities. Through our peer-based approach, we foster mutual understanding, reduce stigma, and promote open dialogue about mental health and substance misuse, ensuring everyone has access to respect, resources, and recovery.
We provide a range of peer-led services, including mental health education workshops, advocacy programs, awareness campaigns, and family support mechanisms for individuals across Louisiana.

Interactive sessions, led by peers, designed to educate individuals and families about mental health, recovery, wellness, and local resources available for support.

Our agency supports not only individuals but also families and communities, ensuring an inclusive approach for all affected by mental health or substance misuse challenges.

We strive to dismantle stigma and influence public policy through community engagement, advocacy events, and awareness campaigns statewide.
Our mission at Meaningful Minds United, Inc. is to provide authentic, peer-driven education, awareness, and advocacy for those living with mental health or substance misuse challenges, as well as for their families and the community. We aim to empower people through lived experience and bridge gaps in understanding, acceptance, and support.
